SIBLINC was formed in 2023 with the aim of creating daring, smart, and optimistic storytelling. A family-run film and television development company, SIBLINC combines the experience of veteran screenwriter Michael Hirst with the fresh perspectives of his children, Scarlett and Horatio.

As “siblincs”, Scarlett and Horatio act as vital links between Michael and other writers, directors, and creatives. Together, they bridge generations of talent.

Meet the team

  • Scarlett Hirst

    CO-FOUNDER

    At SIBLINC, Scarlett oversees the creative slate while driving the company's commercial strategy. She works closely with the team to research and generate new ideas, and co-writes on a number of projects.

    Scarlett takes a hands-on approach to script development. She is passionate about collaborating with writers and directors who bring distinctive voices and perspectives.

  • Horatio Hirst

    CO-FOUNDER

    Prior to his career in film and television, Horatio was a professional footballer for Championship side Sheffield United in northern England.

    As an actor, he most recently starred as Bishop Grimketel in Season 3 of Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla and as Charlie Bowdre in Billy the Kid Season 2 (Part 2) on MGM+, both released in 2024.

    As a writer, Horatio has several original projects in development, including the previously announced A Day of Fire with Amazon/MGM and Scott Free.

  • Michael Hirst

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR, CO-FOUNDER

    Michael Hirst is a BAFTA-nominated screenwriter and producer with over 40 years of industry experience. Best known for his Oscar-winning film Elizabeth and Emmy Award-winning series The Tudors and Vikings, he has shaped some of the most iconic historical dramas of the past two decades.

    Most recently, he created, wrote, and produced the hit MGM+ series Billy the Kid, which premiered in 2022, with Season 2 released in 2024. He is currently working on the show’s third and final season, set to premiere in late 2025.

    Michael has several projects in development, including a historical epic with Amazon, a sports drama with Fifth Season, another historical drama with Karga7, and the previously announced A Day of Fire with Amazon/MGM and Scott Free, chronicling the days leading up to the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
